CNC Operator

Main Duties

  • Setting tools and jaws in CNC Lathes
  • Operating CNC lathes to machine precision components
  • Checking machined components meet drawing specifications
  • Measuring and checking own work using various measuring equipment

Job Skills and Requirements

  • Ability to set tools and offsets in CNC machines
  • Preparing CNC lathes ready for proving out
  • Mechanically minded hands on methodical worker with high standards
  • Experience of working within an engineering workshop with CNC lathes
  • The ability to use various types of measuring equipment
  • Can understand and read engineering drawings
  • Must be able to work to tight deadlines and high targets due to the fast paced nature of the role
  • Maintain good housekeeping
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and rules
  • Wage dependent upon experience

Required Experience

  • Tool setting and operating CNC lathes: 3 years

Hours of work

Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 17:00
